So why does God have you taking care of someone or something, their children, their affairs…that has betrayed you, abused you, abandoned you and shown you no regard? Hes working something out in you! Let it have its perfect work…I know it’s harder said than done but trust me your reward is great!

I remember as a young girl when I was in school I would talk a lot…I mean a lot. Whenever the teacher would confront me I would become enraged inquiring why she didn’t reprimand the person who I was talking to. “What about her” “What about him” I mean it became my mission to insure that I received the same justice as someone else who committed the same crime as I had.

As a grown woman that same fury lives within me as over the years I have questioned the justice of our Lord as I watch those who hurt me the most appear to be getting away with murder. Forgiveness allows you to find your peace which helps you see the offense in an unusual way. I am grateful for forgiveness but it is a self-centered deed setting you up for the hardest step of all: Ministry.

The sound of that world ‘ministry’ irritates me like no other as my rebellion at best rears her head saying: Now I forgave and don’t wish no ill will, but Lord you going too far. Aint nobody tryna wear no collar or have no assigned seat (symbolically speaking)! So to shock this flesh I say a curse word every now and then, cut somebody off in traffic, date with no purpose…whatever it takes to disqualify myself for such development.  Ewww I shoulda knew that forgiveness mess was a set-up!lol

You will learn to pray and restore not report…

Moving from Forgiveness to Ministry is where the victory truly lies, says Jesus who was betrayed by Judas yet served him.

{To pray and restore not report}, is your commitment to seeking the deliverance of another ‘in private’ til the end with no intent to expose or see them punished.

This word is for the child abandoned by her father

This word is for the family member of an addict

This word is for the foster parent or step-in parent

Contrary to what you may believe it was never and is not about them…He is working something out in YOU! Whatever the future holds for you, He needs to be able to trust you. He needs to know you are the ultimate steward. He needs to know your heart is at its purest. He needs you to totally die to yourself. Whatever the outcome…its not about that, its about YOU. May we find the courage to move beyond forgiveness into ministry, that we may receive what is fit for a King and Queen. Let me drop this nugget: its like understanding the difference between cost and worth. In the end it doesn’t matter how much something costs but what its worth that matters. You are worthy of the promise prearranged for you. Don’t focus on the cost, focus on what it will be worth in the end. Know your worth.

 

Ewwww  Ewwwww Ewwwww!!! I don’t know what you are up to Lord but I aint happy about it! All that’s well, ends well I guess. This new “Do it for the vine” craze perfectly reflects our relationship as I go back and forth tryna serve you while doing what I wanna do.lol
